Sodium pidolate
The resistance and elasticity of the outermost layer of the epidermis, called the stratum corneum, depends of the level of hydration. Sodium pidolate is the physiological hydrating agent of the skin par excellence and also has moisturising and dermoprotective properties. Its hydrating effects are thanks to its capacity to retain moisture, which also helps to protect the skin from the negative effects of external agents, like pollution. As it regulates the level of hydration, sodium pidolate provides smoothness and tautness to dry or cracked skins and skin with fine wrinkles.
